Masking Textured Surfaces - Step by Step Instructions

Apply TapeMake sure the surface is clean and dry. Lay tape onto the surface, pressing down as you go.

Use CaulkUse a thin strip of paintable caulk to seal the tape. Apply a small amount (less than 1/8”) to the edge of the tape.

Smooth it OutSmooth the caulk out with a rag or your finger to ensure it adheres properly.

PaintAllow caulk to dry, and then paint the new color. Allow paint to dry to touch and remove tape. Check the paint can for the manufacturer's dry times.
